Peaceful Transitions

ABOUT  SERVICES  TRAINING

Peaceful Transitions is the culmination of a lifetime of training and care for others that Brenda Jennings has devoted her life to.  Whether it’s preparing for end of life challenges, or dealing with stressful situations (like bullying, anxiety and suicidal thoughts), Brenda Jennings can offer the support, coping skills and resources needed to transition into a peaceful life.

END OF LIFE PLANNING

For too long, end of life planning and care has been held in a shroud of fear or shame overpowered by grief and sadness.  Planning for your death should be an empowering experience.  One that you can ensure happens exactly the way you wish.

Peaceful Transitions was created to assist individuals and families facing unexpected challenges and difficult decisions to work together on having meaningful, intimate discussions, making undisputable plans and supporting families through each step of the transition that we will all face.

Many individuals carry an immense fear of dying alone, especially if they have no family, or their partner has passed before them.  The thought of our own passing is terrifying so we tend to ignore the idea and hope and pray we never have to deal with it.

This journey of life is a cycle, and like the emotionally charged excitement of planning for and preparing for birth, the last phase as we face our death should be handled the same.  There are many details, paperwork, decisions and events to plan for and difficult conversations to be had.

As a Thanadoula (Death Doula), registered social worker, grief and bereavement counsellor and certified palliative care practitioner, Brenda Jennings offers guidance through all of these steps in a calm, compassionate, holistic, and supportive manner, rooted in a lifetime of experience, educational training and care.

By partnering with an end of life practitioner, you’re never alone, and you can be assured your final transition will be peaceful and with dignity.

“If you don’t know how to die, don’t worry; Nature will tell you what to do on the spot, fully and adequately. She will do this job perfectly for you; don’t bother your head about it.”
